The trade wind has been blowing for five days, fun sailing conditions with shoulder/head-high waves! We filmed a little today but  unfortunately, the wind was extremely gusty. There isn't any decent north swell on the horizon but you should stay tuned for an upcoming short video clip of that day!

Unusual weather condition in Hawaii, the wind doesn't blow for seven weeks. After some great surfing days, the swell activity is now falling over and because of the high level of volcanic fog, or vog, all over Hawaii, we are all waiting for a quick return of the trade wind to clean up the sky darkness. This air pollution from volcano Kīlauea is a sulfur dioxide gas that react with sunlight and oxygen. Kīlauea is currently the most active volcano on Earth and emits 2,000 - 4,000 tons of sulfur dioxide every day.
